First I want to apologize for the lack of depth to my posts for this months tour. The Wolf of Tebron is a good story, well written, and well thought out by author C. S. Lakin. If you like fairy tales or fables or just like to read stories that make you think or love a good allegory, give this book go. I guess I haven’t had much to say because I’m just not a huge fan of allegory.
Ms. Lakin creates distinct, well-developed characters. Her characterization was my favorite part of the book. I feel that if I met Joran or Ruyah I would know them immediately.
She’s also quite good at description. When reading about the house of the Moon, I could feel the clutter closing in around me. Likewise, when reading about Joran’s visit to the palace of the Sun I could see the walls and walls of books, could see the elegance of the palace.
I think The Wolf of Tebron is appropriate for teens and adults.

Glad to have you back touring with us, Carol. No need to apologize for your posts, either. Your reaction to the book is just as valid as anyone else’s. If it made someone else think about theology and someone else about jealousy and someone else about not finishing it, that’s the way it is. I think that’s why this tour works so well. Anyone visiting a number of our sites is going to get a good view of who liked the book and why.
